WHO WE ARE

OUR MISSION

We exist to know God and make Him known.

We see lives, communities, and society transformed through discipleship in the word presence and power of God.
OUR VISON

OUR VALUES

Lordship: Being all in for Jesus

John 14:6
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.”

Word-Based: Being students of the Bible

2 Timothy 3:16

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.”

Spirit-Empowered: Being convinced of a supernatural God

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Evangelism: Being witnesses of the story Jesus

John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Discipleship: Being in a growing relationship with Jesus

Matthew 28:19-20
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Leadership: Being a humble example to follow

2 Timothy 2:2
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”

Family: Being there for each other

John 13:34-35
“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

Socially Responsible: Being an answer to everyday problems

Mark 10:45
“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Multi-Cultural: Being different together

Revelation 7:9-10
9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

Multi-Generational: Honouring of the old and empowering the new

Daniel 4:3  How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion endures from generation to generation.”

OUR DEEP CONVICTIONS

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe

He has eternally existed as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The three are coequal and are one God.

  • Genesis 1:1,26,27,
  • Genesis 3:22
  • Psalm 90:2
  • Matthew 28:19
  • 1 Peter 1:2
  • 2 Corinthians 13:14
The Bible is God’s Word to us

The Bible was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without error.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16
  • 2 Timothy 1:13
  • 2 Peter 1:20-21
  • Psalm 119:105,160,
  • Psalm 12:6
  • Proverbs 30:5
People are the supreme object of God’s creation

People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character.

Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” Sin separates us from God and causes many problems in our life.

  • Genesis 1:27
  • Psalm 8:3-6
  • Isaiah 53:6
  • Romans 3:23
  • Isaiah 59:1-2
Jesus is the Son of God

He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to earth to reign as King.

  • Acts 1:9-11
  • 1 Timothy 6:14-15
  • Titus 2:13
Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it

We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.

Baptism is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ

Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, baptism is a way for us to publicly declare our new life in Christ. It is also a step of obedience based on God’s commands and allows us to follow the example of Jesus, who submitted himself to baptism to “fulfill all righteousness.”

  • Matthew 3:16-17,
  • Matthew 28:18-20
  • Acts 2:41, 8:12
The Holy Spirit lives in the believers

The Holy Spirit is coequal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides Christians with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer spiritual gifts when they are baptized in the Spirit. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily.

  • John 16:7-13
  • John 14:16-17
  • Acts 1:5
  • Acts 1:8
  • 1 Corinthians 12
  • Ephesians 5:18
People will exist eternally with or without God

People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
